My first blogpost! I have had so many ideas going through my head of what to post first. I wanted to make it something that everybody, I hope, will connect with and so many of my friends are talking about this film so why not start with this……. however if you have not seen the movie, go, you will love it.
So unless you have been living under a rock this summer, you will know that the new Mamma Mia film returned to our screens last month. Not going to lie I was a bit apprehensive going into the cinema, sweets in hand wondering if this film was ever going to be as good as the first one, but it definitely ticked all the boxes and didn’t disappoint – from the songs to the flares, everything was perfect!
But one thing definitely stood out – Lily James (who played Donna in her younger years) and her wardrobe. Its a real take on the 70s and a common theme within the outfits were the use of stripes and boho styles. I can’t say that the platforms were my style but everything else was just to die for…. floaty skirts, florals, little boots are all things we already have in our wardrobes so accessorising is simple – just a floppy hat, some round lens glasses and jewellery of choice and its an easy look to pull together.
So taking my new closet crush into consideration I rummaged through my wardrobe and mixed up a couple of outfits inspired by the film so here I am channeling my inner Donna! Hope you like them, feel free to comment…….
So how do you feel about the 70s trend? Are you a fan?
